Have you tried Dermapen treatments for your stretch marks and acne scars?
While Fractional lasers promise improvement in the appearance of scarring and stretch marks, Dermapen treatments results are the latest winners, at a fraction of the cost of fractional lasers.
Using the same principles as Fractional lasers, the Dermapen creates multiple micro damage holes that stimulate the natural body mechanism to repair the damage, stimulating collagen and elastin and creating new connective tissue.
The difference with the Dermapen on Scars in particular is that it can penetrate to 2-2.5mm therefore creating deeper micro scarring.
Due to the depth of penetration that the Dermapen provides the results have shown to be usually as good if not better results than the non-ablative fractional lasers.

Dermapen® Skin Needling
Collagen synthesis, the basic building block of your skin, needs increasing and regeneration in order to delay the progress of aging. In addition to good skincare and a healthy lifestyle, the effects of aging on the skin can be lessened.
The best way to learn about skin needling or percutaneous collagen induction is a consultation with your board certified plastic surgeon, which can help prevent signs of aging.
What is Skin Needling?
Skin needling is a procedure that relies on running minute steel prongs over the face and/or body. The minimal injury (say minimal pain/damage? Injury seems really strong) created with the steel needles leads to an immediate increase in percutaneous collagen induction.
Steel needles have their own electrical potential, and that this electrical potential additionally increases the resting cell potential. When the skin is pricked with steel needles, the action stimulates a mild inflammatory reaction that increases fibroblast activity, which in turn leads to collagen synthesis and re-organization. In the case of scar and fibrotic tissue, skin needling breaks and fragments the fibrosis, hence minimizing the scar. When used with topically applied products and substances, skin needling enhances the absorption of the products 200 times allowing for trans-dermal delivery of the substances. Skin needling has been credited for reducing scars and acne scars, reducing stretch marks and large pores. The procedure is behind the build-up of new and additional collagen layers in the skin leading to healthy youthful skin.
What is Dermapen®?
Dermapen is the latest in skin therapy systems. It is an advanced skin needling innovation using multiple needles that vertically pierce the skin. This enhances rejuvenation results and is far safer than other methods because it causes much less epidermal damage. The automatic vibrating function of the Dermapen increases the effectiveness of treatment by increasing absorption of products while reducing pain and discomfort. This unique automatic micro-needling adds new versatility with the adjustable needling depth which allows for control of the treatment intensity, an increased efficiency and the option to focus on treatments of troubled areas. Skin needling with Dermapen minimizes epidermal damage leading to less pain and bleeding. The pen is easy to maneuver around all facial contours. Because of vertical delivery, needles easily penetrate scar tissue without risk of bending.
Dermapen vs. Fractional Laser Therapy
Although non-ablative, Dermapen is just as effective as fractional laser therapy treatments. The most important benefit is that Dermapen pricing averages $350-$500 per session, a fraction of the leading alternatives. The treatment is done in shorter times with procedures typically taking no more than 30 minutes and requiring no downtime. Dermapen treatments cause less pain than fractional laser therapy with far less epidermal damage. An average of two sessions can lead to extremely pleasing results.

Products that contain essential nutrients for the epidermis and dermis are usually recommended since the numerous micro holes obtained due to the needles action will favor penetration of the active ingredients in the skin.
