Vince Bogan-Nurse Anesthetist

Vince has provided anesthesia for Dr. Hakki's patients since 2005. A military trained anesthetist (CRNA), while a student he conducted clinical research focused on the reduction of the incidence of nausea and vomiting after anesthesia. He graduated at the top of his class with a GPA of 4.0 and later obtained a perfect score of 600 on his national certification examination. After 23 years of active duty in U.S. Army, he retired in 2002. He has since that time practiced in the Maryland,Virginia and DC area in office and hospital settings. He is particularly expert in the provision of total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), a form of anesthesia associated with rapid recovery and very low incidence of postoperative nausea. He is also active in providing anesthesia services in developing countries having participated in several medical missions to Honduras and Haiti. His hobbies and interests include foreign languages, foreign affairs, running, travel, and life-long learning. He is married and has a son and daughter, both young adults.
