Mommy Makeover Patient Story – (Tummy Tuck and Breast Implants)

Tummy Tuck

What was one of the things that helped you the most during your healing process?

Having someone help me in and out of bed was A MUST… ESPECIALLY TO PEE.

Did you think the healing process would be worse?

I didn’t think it would be worse than having 3 c- sections, but it was. Probably because I had lipo as well.

Was it worth the scar? Is it easy to cover up?

It was definitely worth it. My scar is pretty ugly,  but I can hide it with my thong. After a year is up, I plan on hiding it with a tattoo.

What was the pain level on a 1-10? 10 being the worst.

Pain level was a 8/9 for the first 3 weeks. But I think it was because I had also gotten lipo and had developed an infection along my tummy tuck incision.

How has your life changed since the procedure?

I am more confident… took my kids on vacation to the beach twice in one month. Wore a bikini without  a cover up. Have been wearing shorts for the first time since I was 15, which was 21 years…(lipo on my ankles)

How did you financially prepare for it?

I own a commercial real estate investment company, I own a business management company, T- shirt company, Rental truck business and I work full time as a manager at a storage facility. After deciding not to have anymore kids, I decided to sell my rental property and finally invest in myself. I had been planning this for 15 years. So I paid out of pocket.

Breast Implants

What was one of the things that helped you the most during your healing process?

Putting ice on my breasts and trying not to over extend my chest muscles by having someone help me out of bed, wash my body, help lower me on and raise me off of the toilet. Using the chest chest band at as often as possible to help my breasts drop.

Did you think the healing process would be worse?

I often hear that it feels like an elephant is sitting on your chest. That was not the case. I had the least amount of pain with my breasts… I’ve had worse pain from being engorged and breast feeding.

How has your life changed since the procedure?

I was a 34 A/B cup depending on my weight. I now wear a 34DD since getting 520cc silicone implants.

I no longer need to wear a bra,  but will if my outfit requires me to wear one… the goal is to remain classy and not look trashy.
